Maisie Cox, Chaplain
Maisie Cox works part time as the Office Manager
at The Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce and spends most of her summer
helping people plan their island vacation.
A reti red social worker, Maisie has maintained a summer
home on the island for 20 years and moved to Put-in-Bay permanently in
2000.
Maisie received her Bachelor in Education from Kent
State University, majoring in Speech and Theater.
Maisie has spent the majority of her life helping
others and was employed by the Summit County and the Stark County
Departments of Human Services for 30 years.
Her job in social services involved Child Care,
Volunteer Services and Adult Protection Services.
Maisie was ordained by the World Christianship
Ministries in 2002 and is licensed by the state of Ohio. She is available to perform
ceremonies on the mainland as well as the island.

Maggie Beckford, Chaplain
|
|
Maggie Beckford is Executive Director of The
Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce and has an educational background in Journalism,
Photography, Marketing and Publication.
As Executive Director, Maggie organizes and speaks at many
community events.
Maggie is an Ohio State University alum who worked for the
Ottawa County daily newspaper for six years before moving to the
island permanently in 1987.
She was General Manager of a popular Put-in-Bay restaurant
for 12 years and has been active in the Chamber of Commerce for the
past 15 years.
Maggie sits on the Board of Directors for The Ottawa County
Visitors Bureau, The Lake Erie Islands Historical Society and The
Perry Group. She is also active in the Put-in-Bay Dramatic Society.
Maggie also was ordained in 2002 by the World
Christianship Ministries and is licensed by the
State of Ohio.
