Maisie Cox, Chaplain
Maisie Cox has performed more than 200 weddings
over the past seven years and spends most of her summer
helping people plan their island wedding.
A reti red social worker, Maisie has maintained a summer
home on the island for more than 20 years and moved to Put-in-Bay permanently in
2000.
Maisie received her Bachelor in Education from Kent
State University, majoring in Speech and Theater.
Maisie has spent the majority of her life helping
others and was employed by the Summit County and the Stark County
Departments of Human Services for 30 years.
Her job in social services involved Child Care,
Volunteer Services and Adult Protection Services.
Maisie was ordained by the World Christianship
Ministries in 2002 and is licensed by the state of Ohio. She is available to perform
ceremonies on the mainland as well as the island. Maisie is a member of
The Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce and actively volunteers to help with
chamber events and activities.
